A Fighters Desire is made up of 2 novellas introducing the characters of full length books. And I have to say, they are hot. They are little snippets into a world that I can’t wait to dive more into. I’m going to warn you, these don’t end in a HEA. Those come in the full length books. And by the time you finish both of these, you’ll want to jump in to reading the full lengths. In part one, you meet very sexy twins Ryley and Camden. They are known to share their women. You get one night with one of them, the next night with the other and if all works out, the third night with both. But when Ashleigh comes into the picture, stuff changes. She doesn’t necessarily want all of that. But she is willing to try. Except, Camden is an ass. And Ryley is willing to give a whole lot more. And the instant attraction between Ryley and Ashleigh is explosive. There were parts that made me blush. And then when it ended, I wanted to scream. It left you wanting so much more. In part two, you see Gabriella, Ashleigh’s best friend, wanting what she shouldn’t want. Tyler Rushing. OMG Tyler is WOW. But she convinces Tyler to give her a night. Which turns into a weekend. It is a forbidden desire that they both have. And boy do they fulfill it. And once again you are left wanting more.LP Dover does an excellent job of introducing you to characters and leaving you in such a spot you can’t help but drop everything to read their full length novels. I mean the women can write a serious cliffhanger. In fact, after finishing part one, my mouth dropped. Like, I can’t believe thats where she left off. If you’re looking for some hot fighters and the women that become their match, dive into these. ~Katie I received an ARC of A Fighter’s Desire for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. At first I was worried but I really liked the concept behind it. Please remember when reading this that this is just the introduction to the characters. There have been many books about fighters that I have read, but this one was a bit different. This book is two stories in one. However, the characters from each story are in the other. If I had to choose my favorite of the two, it would be the second story. I don’t know if it is because the characters in the second story had a little bit more growth or if the story behind it was much better. I’ll try to do this with no spoilers. The first story was about Ashleigh, Ryley and Camden… Ashleigh, our female lead and our twin MMA fighters, Ryley and Camden. Yes you heard me right, TWINS! I was so intrigued. Very intrigued! I couldn’t wait for the Wham, Bam, Thank you Ma’am…but it didn’t come! There was romance and sweet talking and then it was like, “Nope, no thank you.” I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t the big happily ever after that I was looking for. I was not expecting the behavior of either twin; either one of them. One I wanted to punch in the face…multiple times and the other I was falling for.I thought this first story was more rushed and thrown together for lack of better term. The characters didn’t really seem to grow and from what we saw I thought they could have been developed so much more if they were given more time. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed this first story. Would I get the twin action that seemed so likely to happen? You’ll have to read to find out! (wink, wink). As for the second story, I was much happier with the characters and how they grew. They were given the chance because we had meant them earlier. I thought the story line was much better and I liked Gabby so much more than Ashleigh. She seems like she has more to her and I really want to see her more throughout this series. I thought she was a more grounded individual. She is sassy and smart. She knows what she wanted and even though it may have seemed like it, she didn’t want to lead anyone. As I seemed to get closer to the end, I was uncertain of where everything was going. I really thought it was going to end in a completely different way. When I finished and I got to the end, my exact feelings, “What the Hell just happened?!?” I was a little discouraged. However, when I saw I was going to see Tyler again, I calmed down.Overall, I was happy. I was pissed off. I was confused and I shook my head plenty of times. I think I actually screamed at the book at one point. I’m really looking forward to the next books and hoping that everything will come together. I don’t think I even care if it’s in a bad way or a good way. I need more closure than what we were left hanging with. I can’t wait to see more development in these characters because I really grew to enjoy them even though it may seem like I didn’t. This book is definitely a winner and should really be read by all!
What do You think about A Fighter's Desire (2014)?
I loved this book! The story was awesome and never boring. I like how it's two stories in one book.
