One of the books I looked at for a Toddler Storytime on Imagination, I rather enjoyed this one. It could also be used in a Reading/The Library theme as well. Little Lola loves getting books from the library and hearing the stories read to her by her parents. Everytime she is read to, she uses that story to influence her play afterword, like her mother reads to her about tigers and she spends the next afternoon chasing her friend through the jungle. Recommended for ages 2-6, 4 stars. Lola’s dad takes her to the library on Saturdays. Her mom and dad take turns reading the books that she brings home from the library. The day after a book is read Lola has the same adventure the book referred to. She was a fairy, tiger in the jungle and even had magical shoes. She uses the books as a way to expand her imagination. This could be a book that is used at the beginning of the school year and shows students that we can learn many different things by simply reading books. This could begin the weekly adventure to the school library.
A little girl's love of books, creativity, bonding with her Daddy, what's not to love!
