A Mariposa No Espelho (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I made the impromptu decision to read A.G. Howard's The Moth in the Mirror before moving onto Unhinged and it was quite delightful! A very quick read too. This one basically gives us both Morpheus and Jeb's points of view during moments of Splintered.Truthfully, it's a bit of both. For Morpheus is seeing Jeb's memories from his time in Wonderland to get a better understanding of the guy Alyssa chose over him, it's a whole: know thy enemy kind of thing. We basically get to see what Jeb was doing every time he and Alyssa were separated in Wonderland. Moments like when he was in his own cell in Morpheus' place, or what he and Morpheus talked about when he was trapped in the chasm when Alyssa discovered she had wings. And naturally, his final moments when made the biggest decision of his life to save Alyssa. It's definitely something to read AFTER Splintered and it sort of sets a precursor for Morpheus and what he plans to do next! It was a pretty interesting little read and getting to see how both Jeb and Morpheus feel about Alyssa was enjoyable as well.Overall Rating 4.5/5 stars I wasn't sure what to expect when I first picked up this Novella. The story was about Morpheus divulging into Jeb's memories in an attempt to find a way to win over Alyssa. It consisted of three different scenes set during Splintered when Jeb and Alyssa were separated. The experiences are told from Jeb's POV.The most interesting part of the story for me was when it explains what Jeb went through before he was locked in the jabberlock box. I did enjoy getting to read this part and discovering what was going on in his head at the time. It reinforced my love for Jeb. Also, in my mistrust of Morpheus. If you are a fan of the series, I would recommend reading this novella. I give this a 3 out of 5 stars.

What do You think about A Mariposa No Espelho (2014)?

As always, I am solidly Team Jeb. Looooved this glimpse into his beautiful mind.

Sadly not as much insight as I would have liked. Plus I'm not really team Jeb.
