I really enjoyed this story about a young woman learning about trusting in God and following His path for her. It's set in an early 1900's small town and Astrid, the main character, is a new doctor trying to figure out what she should do with her talents and her life in general. The supporting characters in her family and town are equally interesting and I'm glad the author allowed the reader to have multiple points of view. The end leaves you hanging a little bit and I would like to read the next two novels in the series. Ok I like a good christen romance as much as the next romance seeking mom but this was too much. I think they prayed in this book 20 times before the first chapter had even ended. WHo does that? It was not realistic even for back then. It bugged me too much....I just can't read anymore of this author I guess. I couldn't finish it and had to put it down. I wish there was a rating for tried to read it and couldn't.
A very good read. Anxious to read the next one in this series.
