I really enjoyed this Christian historical romance. It takes place in 1910. Nora has received money from her fiancee to come to America from Norway. However, when she arrives in a small North Dakota town, things don't work out as anticipated. She knows she needs to find a job so she can save for her passage back to Norway. The only job she can find is being a nanny/housekeeper for Carl who has just lost his wife. However, she really can't do that because an unmarried woman must not live with a man. Although the story is predictable, I enjoyed reading the novel and appreciated that there was no sex, no swearing, and the characters had Christian values.
