What a heartwarming and joyful book! When Felicity Juniper Pickle returns with her family to Midnight Gulch, she immediately becomes fascinated with the story of the Brothers Threadbare and of how the town lost its magic. It quickly becomes clear that she is the most important part of finishing this story. With the help of her best friend Jonah (also known as The Beedle, a secret do-gooder about town) and a host memorable characters, she will put the pieces back together and bring magic back to the town! The story reminded me of aspects of other great books. The family legend and the righting of wrongs by later generations is just as compelling as that of Louis Sachar's "Holes". The unique and playful aspect of the magic is as surprising as that of Erin Morgenstern's "The Night Circus". And the conclusion is nothing short of Dickensian! What a great read! Summary: this book is about a girl who always moves around the world. One day she moves to a place that used to be magical but now not so much anymore. Felicity meets new friends and tries to get the magic back on the city. My Opinion: it was great but there was one part that I think they should add in about her dadChristian Worldview: It is involved with a lot of magic and there is no such thing.
