Accomplice (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

Accomplice by Eireann Corrigan is the story of two girls who are trying to spice up their college application. After a brainstorming session they decide to stage Chloe's disappearance. At first it was just a little way to bring some attention to them until it got way out of hand and the whole nation became involved. Both of the friends decided it would be best for Chloe to be hurt when she gets back and are pushed to the limit it doing so. I love how the author is so detailed in relaying the girls friendship from the beginning to the end. From the beginning when they were inseparable to when they no longer spoke. This author is an amazing writer and uses very descriptive words that make me feel like I am a part of the book. The only aspect of this book I did not particularly like was that for the first two chapters of the book I was not sure if Finn was a girl or a boy. I feel that the main character's gender should be clear from the very beginning. Either on the first page or even the back of the book, please just tell me. It would have saved a lot of confusion. Overall I really loved this book and would recommend it to any one who loves a good suspense story! Accomplie by Eireann Corrigan was a realistic fiction/mystery book. I enjoyed every page of it. The book is about two girls (named Chloe and Finn) going out of thier way to catch the eye of college officials. They heard being kidnapped would give you the free ticket to everywhere. So why not try this out for themselves? Chloe would be hidden and eleven days later, Finn would be the hero and solve the case of the missing Chloe. What could possibly go wrong with this innocent plan? The truth is that everything starts going wrong. I would reccommend this book to anyone who loves a realistic mystery.
