Cute book! Sophie and Vim bond over an abandoned baby while snowed in at Christmas. The misunderstanding between them towards the end is a little illogical, but not too bad as far as these things go. The hero is mad at the heroine's father for minor things that happened YEARS ago, which is pretty silly too. The relationship between hero and heroine is great, and as always, I love the Windham family. I'm more of a contemporary romance girl but man am I in love with Grace Burrowes. Her writing is positively luscious. She tells great stories but it's more than that. I want to crawl inside the world she has created and can you tell I have a crush on her? Plus, for the word nerds, her stories are so well edited, they should be the hallmark for good writing. This story was a goodie, but I'm still in love with The Soldier, which set the standard for me. I've read and reread Lady Sophie's story a couple of times now and am rereading it as I get ready to read the rest of her sisters' stories. Somehow GB snuck out a whole bunch of stories while I had my head stuck in a contemporary romance fog. Not that I'm complainin...
What do You think about Aşka Davet (2013)?
If you haven't read The Windhams there will be a lot that doesn't make sense.
