This is the second book in this series. I enjoyed the chemistry between Skye and Mitch more than Lexi and Cruz. Mitch left town shortly after Skye broke his heart, he is now back from war and battling some emotional damage as well as physical. I felt Mitch was a very angry character,it really hard to even like him at all until towards the end of the book. Skye is a complex character, she has serious daddy issues. However all the daughters of Jed Titan all seem to want his approval so she fits the mold. Skye is basically a doormat for her father and when Mitch comes back she is also a door mat for him. She has a young daughter who is really sweet and honestly seems to have more brains than Skye and Mitch combined. It was a really enjoyable book, complete with really angry complex characters. Another great story by Susan Mallery. I have really enjoyed reading Ms. Mallery's books. The Titan sisters are great characters and while I wasn't thrilled to see such a horrible family experience the way it was handled was definitely interesting. I am looking forward to reading more about this family and other boss by this author. Her talent is amazing and her stories are relatable but still story worthy.
there were lots of hatred and the story was quite depressing.
