Oh boy! I stinking LOVED this book! One of my new favorite Susan Mallery books. Heartaching and angsty though it may be, it was also beautiful. This is a story that fills you with hope and love. It's about healing and growth. It is just lovely.Izzy was injured in an oil rig accident. Though she retained 30% of her sight, she has lost her zest for life. She is angry at everyone and everything. Then one day, Nick kidnaps her from her home (upon her sister's request) and takes her to his ranch to snap her out of it. Get her on the road to a much needed recovery.Nick has his own issues. He doesn't trust himself. He doesn't like himself. And he feels he is to blame for the death of three co-workers a few years ago. He knows he shouldn't get close to Izzy, he doesn't deserve her, and he certainly doesn't deserve anyone's love. So what happens when a stubborn woman, who doesn't want to get better, meets a man who doesn't believe he's allowed happiness and love? Well that's easy. Laughing, crying, endless frustration, hoping, loving, and finally cheering. Susan Mallery, you are a genius. I love everything you write. I liked Izzes story it was beter then i thought it would be. She is tuff strong willed but holds her owen till she meats Nick. Amd ends up on his farm half blind from the ecploson on a oil rig she was working on. Nick helps in so meany ways the two are made for each outher both have been through hell and both help the outher. Awesom from start to finish. Now the firend Dannas story is next i hope it is as good as the rest of this seares was.
