Alcatraz Und Das Pergament Des Todes (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
This was one of the most amazing books I have ever read, rivaled only by book one of this series. that is really all I can say about this book. It was funny, clever, creative, and gripping all the time I was reading I was captivated by it. Then the author signed a book just for me even though they were out of stock because of the stories I was writing. Brandon Sanderson is by far my favorite writer of all time. I read this to my youngest over the course of some bedtime-story sessions. This iteration was better than its predecessor, as it reigned in the tendency toward multi-page rambling, self-consciously-attempting-to-be-funny tangents. Strangely, while this one stayed on the story (and in the attention span of the target audience) more reliably, the story was less interesting, and presented as just another episode in a larger slog. We're not going to be rushing to read #3.
