I had a hard time getting through the beginning of the book... possibly because of the silliness of it all. I eventually decided to at least finish it and it wasn't bad. Sure there were quite a few things that left me wondering where her never ending supply of ammo comes from? I really wish there was a way to give half stars because I'm stuck between it was okay and I actually sorta enjoyed some of it. I loved this dystopian take on Alice in Wonderland. Although I must say it is a very loose interpretation; that is, the author absolutely remade the original into something unique and unforgettable. There are certain parallels ( for one, Alice is still a curious and adventurous girl) but the Biters/zombies and wasted world that Dhar has created is epic. The writing was solid, the plot was alarming and fast-moving, the world building was excellent.
What do You think about Alice In Deadland (2011)?
Not quite as Alice in Wonderland-y as I expected. Pretty good though!

Really interesting 'zombie' book. Much deeper than the usual.
