I absolutely loved this story. It has every ingredient I love. Alien sex and...uh. Okay, that's really all I needed to love this book to bits. This story was far more interesting than the first book. I found R'kos to be utterly adorable, horny and clueless while Darien was amusingly horny. One of the highlights for me is the different cultural perspectives between human and Ankylos. Specifically the concept of personal space and privacy.Did I mention I loved this story? Everyone should read this! An interesting world, part Star Trek, part Star Wars but with a wildly erotic adult theme. What Star Trek could have "touched on" if it was done today on cable. Lavender. Not the usual color associated with a large alpha male candy, but it works. I am sorry but all I can think about "working" is the lavender appendage. That alone makes this book worth reading. The two alpha males are hot and horny. Darien has had an active sex life pre-Ricky. Whenever they meet one of his earlier hook-ups, Ricky has an interesting reaction. Darien gets a little teenage girl crush reactions toward the end, but he is in love for the first time. Maybe he could be forgiven, but wish he had stayed a little more alpha. Ricky (the lavender prick - being) is a royal who does not want to accept his required role. This is also a story of accepting differences and values. It is a story of trying to adapt to another's life style in order to make a relationship work. It is a story of learning not to pre-judge another being. Something our world needs to learn. IT is a story that makes the reader laugh, feel the heat and think about differences. It is also just a fun story.
