Honestly, I don't know.At first, I found this story really interesting - the whole 'post-trauma' and 'parents-reletionship' thing. But the love story didn't work, at least for me.It became suddenly too sweet I wanted to close the book. It also was quite repetitive.I read it a while ago so maybe it's just me not remembering, but I didn't even catch the reason why he was kidnapped... I get the rave reviews for Finding Zach, as I too loved the premise, but it just didn't work for me. Zach's family were unnatural, their familial interactions and the way they spoke to each other abnormal, making aspects of the story feel jarring and fake, a bit too 'Stepford Wives' for my taste. And I didn't believe in Zach's character, after the horrors he had been through shouldn't he really have ended up catatonic? The horror to recovery ratio wasn't believable.
What do You think about Alla Ricerca Di Zach (2010)?
I found this book very sad but worth reading.
