This is my first Elizabeth Boyle book, and it won't be my last. I enjoyed her writing style and I do want to continue reading the next books in this Rhymes of Love series. Yay! For I have found another HR author I like!My thoughts on this book --> I really like it and here's why:- There is a lot of drama and the plot is good, kept me hooked to read on. - Preston and Tabby's chemistry is really good and their interactions are so delightful to read. I do believe Preston to be in love with her by the end of the book...but...then why the 4 stars instead of 5? Well...While I do believe Tabby is physically attracted to Preston (it was repeated a lot throughout the book) and feels a stronger connection to Preston compared to Barkworth, sometimes I feel unsure of how she feels of his character, especially of his scandalous past. Seems like she overlooked his past easily and I would have liked it better if the author had explored a bit more on how she feels of him reforming himself.Other than that, the book is lovely! Oh,and the cover of this book is so pretty too :)The heroine does have a cute dog and supportive girlfriends (whom both will get their own romance next, (yay!) and I like that this book had set the scene for the next two books. Now off to read Daphne and Henry's story! First in a series. She's from a village where the women are 'cursed' and never get married. Then she's suddenly an heiress, as long as she marries a handsome dumby. But there's this other guy she's got the hots for AND he turns out to be a duke! They have dinner together at an inn and kiss and he decides he wants to keep her. (He's actually a rake, actually has ruined girls and left them, no excuses of morality here.) He realizes that she doesn't actually have to marry the other guy to get her money but by this time her relatives have revealed their true colors and have kidnapped her, with the plan to send her to a madhouse and take her money. She escapes and he shows up to save her.
What do You think about Along Came A Duke (2012)?
EVERYONE IS A MINX AND / OR A "SLIP O' MUSLIN" (??) AND THEN THEY BONE. THE END.
