This is probably the favorite graphic novel of my students. It's visually stunning with characters to which just about every kid can relate even if some of them fall a little flat at times. That mom is ... extremely trusting. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more trusting than I would be of bunny robots and anyone who lives in a Cloud City. The full page spreads in this volume outdo the other five. They are just gorgeous. Chronos, man. Chronos is awesome. I'm not a huge fan of portal fantasy, but this series is really delightful and one I would recommend to get young readers into the genre or as a fun fantasy for any comic fans. The main issue is it took so very long for vol. 6 to be released and who knows when we'll have vol. 7. Write, Kazu, write like the wind. I'm in college now but I still love this series. It's nostalgic, I guess. I love colors in the illustration. I'm not a big fan of thick line though. The situation that the protagonists face made everything so hopeless, but then the plot introduce new characters to aid the situation. It's written well. I lost interest when the characters talk about engine. In the middle of a serious dialog, the characters just keep talking about the engine. I think the plot should be more dramatic, but again I'm reading children's book.
What do You think about Amulet, Vol. 6: Escape From Lucien (2014)?
