Angels In My Hair. Lorna Byrne (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
Oops -I thought i saved my review - I'll try again. In Angels in my Hair, Lorna (written in the first person) recounts the whole of her life, having been able to see and talk with angels and spirits from her earliest memories. The author describes angels having her witness events from an angelic perspective, and coming to tell her of events to come, and what she is to do about them (frequently it is only to witness). I thoroughly enjoyed Lorna's voice - she is a gentle, sweet soul, a mystic (Irish), and she almost has an otherworldly quality herself. If you are at all interested in angels or supernatural phenomena, I recommend you check out this book. *note, I read the Kindle edition, and I did notice that in many places it seemed to be missing periods at the ends of sentences. Once I figured that out, I stopped noticing it so much. Angels all around us... Not something I would ordinarily choose to read but after a friend's recommendation I'm glad I have read it. It is a soft gentle book with lovely anecdotes about how the Angels have guided her. Not being a strong Christian I found some of the discussions about God a bit heavy but on the whole this book had a magical feel about it and I feel lighter having read it and more open to the possibilities...
