Another Whole Nother Story (2010) - Plot & Excerpts
We really enjoyed round two of the Cheeseman family! Still missing their mother and determined to reverse her death, this part of their journey takes them to 1668 Boston, first to obtain a ship, then overseas to undo the curse of the White Gold Chalice that has followed their family for generations. They are still accompanied by the entertaining Captain Jibby and his pirates, but we are also introduced to some new supporting characters, including a love interest for the eldest son, Chip.My nine-year-old especially looks forward to the unsolicited advice that sometimes follows a chapter. This book was entirely engaging for him, but doesn't hold the attention of little brothers. I'm still trying to figure out why it takes us ages to read a chapter book together, but we will definitely hunt down the final in this series. I need to know how this ends up! A quirky and lovable family takes us away again in the Another Whole Nother Story. Join Chip, Teddy (a.k.a. Captain Fabulous), Penny, Ethan Cheesman, Pinky, and, Rat-face/No-face/Gravy-face Roy as they embark on a hilarious, and thrilling adventure. They have traveled back in time so that Jibby and his crew can reverse an ancient family curse, but when the LVR crash lands in 1668, they are stuck there! This book is full of action, likeable characters, lots of laughs, and tons of unsolicited advice. This story is a good book for people of all ages. I loved this book, and I hope you do too!

A cute companion to the first book. Listened to it on cd which was OK, but didn't love the reader.
