I love any excuse to revisit Shane and Jen and while this story is short, it satisfied my appetite. It was wonderful to see how they are as a couple since they transitioned from nurse and patient roles. It’s been a year and they have to face the reality of Jen’s cancer history and how it impacts their future. Shane’s no longer hesitant to express his love for her (and he does this in a big way) but he’s still the guy that has a tough time sharing his fears. Jen’s need to live her life without cancer being the big shadow over it gets in the way of reality but they find their way together. It’s a short and lovely story, a nice interlude until the next book is released later this year. I love Shane and Jen's story and this was just perfect. I loved Shane's farce protective love for Jen and how he would literally do anything for her. To keep her safe and whole.I am glad that the author wrote this one. I am glad that Shane and Jen's story didn't end after the first book. That we got a little more from them. This really was the perfect ending (or is it a beginning?) for them. This was very well written and a good edition to the series.
Just wished it showed more how their relationship is going, not only the matter in question...
