The first Made angel in immortal memory is brought to life in this book. Love the changes in Rafael's character that make him less terrifying. Great plot with challenges and mystery along with disturbing pets. I couldn't put the book down until the mystery was solved and by then the book was nearly done. I like that you find out more about Rafael's seven in each book without it detracting from the story. “She hid her smile at his slip. “What do I call you? Husband? Mate? Boyfriend?”Stopping with his hand on the doorknob, he shot her an inscrutable look. “You can call me ‘Master.’ ”ASDFGHJKKL! This book turned the tables a bit but Elena and Raphael are still owning me right now. I love every single time he opens up to her and becomes a little more "human". I love that there is no relationship back and forth. I love that he lets her be the warrior he has fallen in love with even though she is in danger. "We die,” she said, “we die together. That’s the deal.” O.O
I read some pretty terrible stuff when I'm sick/recovering from surgery....
