I'm a bit mixed about this particular book..parts of it was a 4 star plus read for me and other parts a 2 star read...so I have given it an 3 star average. I found the book really repetitive in parts...the whole thing of Elena's parents have been repeated in just about every book...I appreciate they did grow the story but I was growing bored with the whole thing since it was beaten to death in other books. I did enjoy meeting Elena's little sisters and the uncovering of how she became a hunter. I happen to enjoy Elena and Raphael and liked being updated on their story but so many of the flashes to them didn't really reveal anything new or build on the relationship so found my mind wandering during these pieces. The saving grace was the terrific battle scenes in the last 20% of the book...wow that part was a 5 star for me...I wish the rest of the book had moved that quickly and had been that engaging. I am excited to find out more about the "Legion" and more about Janvier and AsheI am still hooked on the series but i do hope the next book has more depth and less filler. Wow! I'm surprised that I've grown to like this genre so much. The Archangels Legion takes you on a trip that you've never been on before. I think, however, you should read the other five books in the series first. Singh's writing is certainly captivating and I found it hard to even put this read down. The intellectual counterpart of Shades of. Grey coupled with Twilight...that is, on the archangelic side.

Is it just me? I keep seeing parallels with Eve Dallas & Roarke from the In Death series and Elena and Raphael.Eve and Elena have different colouring but Roarke and Raph are both Godlike gorgeous with black hair and blue eyes. Also their pasts, their occupations, relationship.Anyway back to the book. It was great, lots of action. There is always War threatening but I didn't know if we would ever see it.
