I received this as a Good Reads Raffle winner. YAY me. So it is an audio book and so it took me awhile to actually get it to. I don't know why but reading takes me a lot less time than listening. 1) The cover man's face is a little weird, so overlook the cover, because the book is worth it. 2) I really enjoyed the alternate universe this book is set in. I mean who doesn't love an earth that Angels are just winged people and vampires exist. 3) The writing style is free flowing and good, I really enjoyed the take the author had and the characters are really personable, rather you like them or not. Okay... first, RECOMMEND TO READ!I was really skeptic about a story on Jason. He's so dark and silent, a shadow. But someone is not born this way, he became this way because horrendous events. It broke my heart when he recounted how he took his mother's head, place it back and wait for her to 'wake up'. The author detailed this part through the eye of a little boy so well that you can almost feel the confusion and the denial that his mother is dead. Jason chose darkness as his strength and that's his striking power. As for Mahiya, she had darkness in her life but she didn't drowned in it. The hope and willpower she has is extraordinary. I wish some idiots would have such determination to live, rather than whine over petty things. Mahiya is the light and Jason the dark. They complement each other marvelously! Also, it will be interesting to see if Nivitri has truly evolved as an archangel or something else. Another hot romantic story of angels in Nalini's world. LOVE IT!
What do You think about Archangel's Storm (2012)?
i received this audio book for an HONEST review. I'm not going to go into much detail because if i do i will spoil everything and then my friend when she reads this is going to kill me. What i will say is that i am a huge fan of this author and she didn't disappoint with this one. Loved the characters especially specially Jason as soon as i started hearing the story being read for me i was captivated that i even bought an eBook edition to read along with the audio. But scene the first pages this book captivated me and also made me feel bad for what he went through . But i liked that i got to see what happens to make Jason who he is. The book was a slow read but in my opinion sometimes those are the best hope we get another book about him.

So far my favorite in the series. It has a well-developed mystery that kept me intrigued. I liked Jason, who is a somber and still hero, unlike any hero I've read. I appreciated the representation of Mahiya's kindness and ability to maintain hope as a symbol of her strength. Jason and Mahiya's relationship is never exuberant, but it is heartfelt and beautiful in its quietness. Overall, a well-constructed story with a unique romance at its heart.
