I should start by saying I am a big fan of the WTF podcast so my review of this book comes that point of view. I can't seperate that or be objective about it.I really enjoyed this book. I read the whole thing in Marc's voice and inflection (in my mind) which I think made it better. Just like the podcast it has parts that are very funny, parts that are serious and lots of Marc looking into himself. Overall an enjoyable and quick read. I can't speak on whether someone who isn't already a Maron fan would enjoy this book but I certainly did. I have been a big fan of Marc Maron's WTF podcast for about a year and think he is wonderful. And this book is also fantastic. Marion lays his life out using sincere and humorous prose. His life stories are engaging and amusing (and at time a bit sad). I was so glad to finally learn what did or did not happened to Boomer. His observations of the world around him are unique and cutting, and always entertaining. Marc Maron is a great standup comedian, does a fantastic interview, and as it turns out, can also write a great memoir. Can't wait for the next Maron written self-reflection. Boomer lives!!!
