Demi kepentingan masa depan kerjaya bapanya, Kate Kane terpaksa memilih untuk bekerjasama dengan D.E.O dalam memburu suspek kegiatan penculikan kanak-kanak yang masih belum terungkai. Walaupun kini dia bertindak sendirian namun jauh tertindan di bawah lapisan-lapisan kecewa, masih ada sisa kasih terhadap bapanya. Di samping keazaman melenyapkan penjenayah mistik itu, Batwoman juga nekad untuk menuntut bela ke atas nasib sepupunya yang parah dibelasah konco Medusa. To Drown the World jumps back and forth on the timeline quite a bit. If you've read Birds of Prey Vol. 2 (The New 52) , it's similar with all the flashbacks, though Batwoman's aren't as confusing and don't seem as random. As a result, the story feels less together than Vol. 1. Thankfully, it all ends up making sense. Despite the time jumps, it is very much worth your money to purchase, as it maintains all the elements that make the Batwoman series outstanding.

Man, the New 52 Batwoman is so much less interesting than the Gail Simone run from a few years back.
