This book was just okay. I read this for my romance book club. I picked it because I heard it was a good example of the romance suspense genre. It was very suspenseful and a bit scary. This book just didn't do it for me for a number of reasons. First, this is a romance novel and though there was a bit of sex in the book I didn't find the scenes particularly sexy and I didn't feel a lot of chemistry between the characters. You don't really know anything about either one and even though it says they live happily ever after, or whatever, I get the feeling they'll never see each other again. This was mostly just a suspense novel with a sex scene thrown in. Also, the ending was just too ridiculous. Dumb and very unrealistic. Also, I know this is a suspense novel but do there have to be soooo many bad guys. Maybe one serial killer is enough to be scary why do you need more! Is this lady just THAT unlucky! Okay well those were my issues with the book. It wasn't necessarily poorly written and it held my interest to make me want to stay up late to see what happened. Wouldn't recommend this book to romance fans. Maybe suspense fans but probably not.

I picked this book up solely due to its location and read it where it's set - on Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. It is not the type of book I usually read, as I have a high sensitivity to violence of any kind. That being said, there were only a few passages that really got to me in that vein (no pun intended) and I found the book to be engrossing and, all in all, a good Beach Read. The twist at the end was nice, a bit unrealistic, but nice. If you like books of this type, you will enjoy it. The

I think this is probably one of my favorite Robards' books so far. The action made it go fast, the suspense kept me turning pages long into the night. Even after I put it down I couldn't sleep for a while because my mind kept trying to figure out the mystery. There were twists and turns, the chemistry between the two main characters was great, and the sex scenes were sizzling.My only complaint was the discovery of the serial killer's identity and disguise. I really enjoyed this book, I especially love how there is always a curveball that isn't seen coming until it smacks me between the eyes. I mean Aunt Rosa, who would have thought it? Which it really wasn't Aunt Rosa, but I figure it had to be one of the people involved with Christy's ex-fiance Michael, or else it was just some sicko that was out terrorizing women. It was good that Terri got away, even though Liz didn't. The fact that it was explained how Liz got away, explains how she came to be
