I liked his perspective on what Jesus was like. We often paint a very stoic picture of Christ, forgetting that He was 100% man too. I really appreciated this aspect. The reason I give a 3 star rating is because some of Eldredge's theology seemed a little suspect. I didn't think he used sufficient scripture to back up some of his points and some of the scripture sin he used was used incorrectly (only reaffirming my belief you should ALWAYS check the scripture cited in anything you read). My advice: read cautiously and check all his statements. What an amazing book! If Jesus Christ is important to you and you want to know him, this is a wonderful book that can help you. It doesn't matter what church you go to or what religion you are. If you truly want to know Jesus and not just know of him. If you want to learn how to have him in a more intimate, daily part of your life, then I would suggest this book. This is one that will definitely get read more than once.
Will never see, think or relate to Christ the same way again. Amazing book.
