Becoming Sister Wives: The Story Of An Unconventional Marriage (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
From the way they describe this lifestyle, polygamy sounds like the most miserable thing on earth! The authors talk of constant jealousy, bickering and bitterness between the four wives, yet they claim they have matured and plural marriage has bettered their lives. There are many double standards on Mormonism and plural marriage shown throughout this book. I don't know what man or woman in their right mind would want to participate in this sort of lifestyle! Got a new computer (an all-in-one) and wasn't able to get into Goodreads from there so I've saved up several books that I've read this year and can now log them in.I just don't understand the concept of a plural marriage. I bought this book thinking I could get a better insight to it. Still don't understand it and think it's wrong. But that is just my opinion and we know everyone has their own. I will say that I work in law enforcement and, unfortunately, do not always see the cream of society's crop and I have seen some children in horrific situations. It seems the Brown children, ALL of them, have a very loving environment and a very defined structure and are raised with boundaries and to know right from wrong. That's a great big plus in our society today.

I love the show. The book was dull. Nothing really new or insightful.
