I've read all the books in this series back to back before reviewing them. Jake's turn at love, he needs shaking up and Lil is the perfect woman to do that.The characters are fantastic. They're real, animated and full of life. The books focus on a different character's love story each time but with the others being involved in the background plot and this makes for a successful formula. Each time you meet a new character you wonder where their journey in this story is going to end. In each book there is an underlying plot which accompanies the two main characters finding their love for each other. The plots are well thought out and interesting but they could have developed more if the books were longer.You can read the books standalone but to fully appreciate the writing I suggest you try and read them in order.The author has a sense of humour which is conveyed through her characters and had me chuckling out loud at times.I'm very glad I discovered this author and look forward to reading other books by her. Ok, Ruth Cardello, has done it again. Each book, I read, I think that she cannot possibly write another one that I will love the characters in as much as the previous one. Each time Ruth Cardello, proves me wrong. I loved Jake Walton and Lil Dartley, Jake is the best friend and business partner of Dominic Corisi, and Lil is the sister of Abby, his fiance. She also has an adorable baby girl, named Colby, who stole Jake's heart along with mine. Jake does not like the way that he looses control around Abby, but has no choice but to help her learn how to deal with the paparazzi and diplomats, that she will be meeting now, that her sister is marrying Dominic. I could not help but fall in love with both of these characters, Lil is a little spitfire when she has to be, but she is also very loyal to her friends and the people that she loves. Poor Jake, does not stand a chance with Lil, she knocks him for a loop from the beginning. Dominic finally wins Lil over to his side in this book and he has to threaten Jake a couple of times to get him on the right path, that was hilarious. Although, this was Jake and Lil's story, her sister Abby finally marries Dominic, and I absolutely loved their wedding vows. Once again, Ruth Cardello, proves that their is nothing like the love of a family!!
