Behind The Bell: Behind The Scenes Of Saved By The Bell With The Guy Who Was There For Everything (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
Behind the Bell by Dustin Diamond. A different book than I normally read but I heard about the Saved by the Bell movie coming out, I grew up on the show and it's supposed to reveal the behind the scenes shenanigans. So I decided to read Diamond's story, the actor who played Screech on SBTB. I always take these stories with a grain of salt but it was interesting to find out that the squeaky clean actors, actually got their hands dirty! I'm looking for to the September movie to find out more drama! I wanted to read this because I know there's an upcoming movie and I loved loved loved SBTB. This was a fun read, quick and easy, the writing style is pretty simple. It was definitely a skeezy tell-all type of book, which almost feels straight from TMZ headlines, but it's old news and still interesting. Ultimately, it makes Dustin Diamond look worse than the people he's calling out (and call them out he does, you end up cringing a LOT about the secrets he spills)...making himself look like a whiny outcast who's still upset he was never a part of the cool crowd. It makes me feel sorry for him as a human being, but I'm no angel - I definitely slowed down to take a good long look at this train wreck. :)
