Totally hilarious! I read a quote somewhere that Ozzie went up to Keith (at Hall of Fame I think) and asked him how have they both managed to stay alive. His early years is just an unbelievable story, full of fun and antics. Ozzie does have to face tragedy at times. And then, of course, there's Sharon and the children. Probably the reason we still have this very unique person still with us. Really enjoyed the book. Well worth the time to read it. Come on? Who wouldn't love the memoirs of a crazy, drug-addled rock and roll madman? It's pretty honest when it comes to admission of his escapades. One surprising thing was that it didn't entirely glorify the addiction or touring rock star lifestyle, it was more about of a warning about what that life is and the intensity of the ride. Although, hearing some of the anecdotes are pretty amusing. Ozzy wasn't a satan-worshipping crazy man, he was an alcoholic rock singer that got caught up in media hyped personas created for him and the drugs that came cheap all around him. It's fascinating, sobering, and at times very funny.
What do You think about Ben Ozzy (2011)?
If you are a fan, this is a great overview of Ozzy. It is worth the quick read.
