After having this on my shelf for over a year, and seeing all the trusted reviews I had high hopes this was going to be another book I kicked myself for putting off for so long.Sadly that wasn't the case. While there was nothing bad about the overall story, I found myself either bored or annoyed. Where most people seemed to like Bella I found she irritated me. Asa and Sebastian were OK but again I really wasn't that into them. Sebastian like Bella struck me as a little too whinny with the whole never gonna grow up vibe.Jordan was great, and I eagerly read scenes with him.I did like the Ex wife story. Made a nice change to see that one played out.The ending was sweet and so while it was more a 2.5 for me I'm pushing it up to a 3 for Jordan and his mum, and the sappy ending. I can see why Sebastian was attracted to Asa but I don't get why Asa was attracted to Sebastian. Having Bella play such a prominent part in the story sorta took away from the development of the relationship between the guys for me. Usually I love kids in stories but Jordan didn't really add much here. Deidre being an addict and not wanting to see her kid and then after coming out of rehab and giving Asa advice on his relationship with Sebastian seemed out of place and wrong. How is Sebastian paying for all these doctorate programs? I don't think working at a bookstore and getting free rent for a summer is gonna be enough to pay for school. Completing his doctorate (2nd one) shouldn't have been that big of a deal to keep him away from his true love, supposedly.
Title and cover were, uh, lacking. Book was cute enough though. Enjoyed.
