I enjoyed this book, just not much as the first two. It was a good third book and certainly laid out all of the major pieces on the game board, so to speak. A lot of new characters were introduced, which sometimes made it difficult to follow, and perhaps my all time favorite chapter - 14 - from the series thus far was a joy to read. The splintering of the storyline in the last portion of the book was interesting. Looking forward to the intrigue that (I'm sure) awaits in book four! This series keeps improving as it moves along. This sword and sorcery adventure tale continues the storyline of its two predecessors, returning several of the characters from earlier. Like its predecessor, it's a tad slow getting started, but once it gets up some momentum, it rolls along really well. It features several likable and distinctive characters in a interesting story. A solid, straightforward, unpretentious sword and sorcery adventure that's just good, plain fun.
