In this volume, we have a resolution to the Jack the Ripper murders. We, also, learn more about the bond between Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian, his Butler. Several other connections are revealed, such as Ciel's connection to the Queen, and why he is known as Her "Watchdog", and Grelle's connection to Madam Red. There are numerous other reveals, which I do not wish to spoil for anyone who is not familiar with these stories, that are interesting, and will be entertaining in future stories. Well, colour me suprised. I liked the first two Black Butler volumes but didn't love them. But volume three was really entertaining. Even though I forgot most of what happened in volume one and two, it was easy to get back into the story. The characters are all different shades of weird and creepy (I'm looking at you, Schnitterguy!) but especially the weirdness of it all is making it so entertaining to read Black Butler. I'm looking forward to reading the next installments in the series and the "omg-who-is-this-person"-cliffhanger is making me even more excited to start volume four!
