The room was small, lined with nailed-on foam waffle insulation. A rectangular mirrored viewing window punctuated the wall, and three molded plastic chairs completed the decor of the claustrophobic space. Lei switched on the hidden video camera via its switch by the door. She knew the lens was aimed at the pale, sweating face of the ship’s escapee.Stevens sat down across from the man, giving his best grin and blue-eyed twinkle.“Great way to start the day, right?
