Excellent! I loved every word, every sentence, every page. Excitement around every corner. With a kick ass attitude and a smart mouth, Maddy is by far my favourite character in this book. This book was never dull. Constant surprises jumped out and I loved it!Maddy's strong will and her ability to rise above expectations no matter the situation, makes the perfect role model for all 21st centaury women.Beezle and his love for popcorn--and something sweet in general--is an amazing character that sticks to Maddy's side no matter the trouble. His care for her makes my heart warm.Gabriel, Nathaniel and all the men--except for Beezle--are a tangle of confusion, anger and heartbreak. Praise for Black Night and Christina Henry. This is the second book in the Black Wings series about a reaper (escorts souls to the afterlife) who also happens to be the great-granddaughter of Satan and the daughter of a high-ranking fallen angel. It's the second book in the series, and in this one, Maddy is forced by her great-grandfather to act as the ambassador to the fairy lands. Also turns out that her boss, JB, is the fairy prince. Her half brother is still trying to kill her and her bodyguard/love interest Gabriel and her gargoyle are both kidnapped. Her fiancé Nathaniel tries to get in her good graces. I feel that this series suffers from a lack of character and relationship development. The story lines are interesting and action packed, but I just don't care very much what happens because I don't feel connected to the characters. I don't see myself reading more of this series. After peaking ahead at future synopses, I REALLY don't want to read more of this series.
What do You think about Black Night (2000)?
Enthralling. The journey of her coming into her own abilities makes it very interesting.
