Moses Lake calls those home who are lost, who need healing. Heather never wanted to returned to Moses Lake, but the past has a way of remaining with you until it is solved or forgiven. The family farm and the Uncles' businesses need to be sold, but Heather's mom will not sign the papers. Heather travels to Moses Lake to convince her mom and ends up in the middle of the family and their charade. At every turn Heather is questioning, "what is going on?" Blaine, the high school star football player, still lives in town and crosses paths with Heather & her heart. Will Heather figure out what her family and brother are up to? How does Blaine fit into her life, when her life is back in Seattle? Or, is it? Will Moses Lake heal the pain she still feels after 16 years after her father's death? And, can Ruth light the hope Heather needs?Lisa Wingate has written another wonderful story about Moses Lake. It's hard for me to love a book if I don't care much for the protagonist, and this is the 2nd Lisa Wingate I've read recently where I was annoyed with the leading character. There is a mystery about what's really going on in Moses Lake, TX, and why Heather's family is so intent on keeping her in the dark. When the answer finally started to unfold it got more interesting for me, but that was 4/5s of the way through the book. I love Lisa Wingate as a writer, and will read everything I can get my hands on, but this one doesn't rate as one of my favorites.
What do You think about Blue Moon Bay (2012)?
Took a while for the story to develop but once it did it moved right along.
