I love Lisa Wingate and have read many of her books. This book takes on the realization that sometimes life takes us by surprise but God is never surprised. When we get caught up in the emotional and challenging situations in our life, God is still there working for our best. The story begins with a marriage that has been broken because of an affair and a mother and son trying to restart their lives in a new town, a new job, a new school, new friends and how all of this meshes together to help them rebuild.Events take place that really challenge Andrea including feelings for a new person in her life, Mart. All in all the story revolves around how in many situations which are not to our liking, we tend to turn from God. then one day we realize that He has always been there and we have taken so much for granted. By dwelling on the "events" that have happened, we miss the glories that God puts before us every day and for this we should thank Him daily for them. I really related well with the characters. The writing was beautiful and lyrical! My only complaint is it all wrapped up really suddenly and quickly at the end. Also not all of the issues were resolved. I can only hope it is wrapped up in the 2nd book but I don't think these characters are mentioned. It's just Mart had one really big hang up / hurt that he mentioned in one line to Andrea ending with I don't want to talk about it and then it was dropped forever in the book :/ still overall, great book!
It seems like a nice book, however it was moving a little to slow. So I didn't finish.
