I'm not one for French men as my alpha H...they always seem just a little too sensitive and their accents a bit too feminine for me to consider hot alpha hero. Coupled with the H in this tale also being blonde, never my preference, no way was I going to love this story...but I did. The h was great...just fantastic, the H was strong and yeah that accent still too feminine to be as hot as I prefer (that honor is still with Marcus from book 2) but the h/H were lovely together. Endelle still the greatest fictional character like ever being featured here in her feathers and snakeskin, throw in my new secondary fav character bad guy Cas, and some fun and angst to come with the next story, a great book 4 in the series. I also cried like a woman when JP met his son at the end...yeah, plot device like in the last book when F met her daughter but who cares...books should make you feel good and this one did. I'm noticing a trend that is really getting old. The whole "I can't open my heart to love again and the fear of being trapped" is in every single story and its very cliche. There are some good parts to this story. Not a big fan of this one. It was a bit too predictable and it pissed me off. I literally stopped reading at some parts. Not a big fan of the writing technique either. I did get confused and lost at times that I had to read the sentence over and over. Overall it was just ok.
