Bound: The Inland Slave - Plot & Excerpts

Thankfully, he was gone. Annett yanked open the curtains to her window, and let sunshine pour into the room. “You’re father has a guest coming this afternoon, and wants you dressed in your best.”“Who is coming?”“Sir Kielce Cragged. He owns all the ports in Dresburg. He’s a very wealthy man. You’re father hopes you find him suitable.”“What?” Katja asked, outraged by the announcement her father wanted her to like him. To clarify, she queried, “My father found me a suitor?”“Sir Cade paid him a visit him when Noreen left yesterday morning after breakfast. Your suitor will be here shortly to go shooting with your father.” Katja folded her arms. She hated the news. She got up out of bed, determined to go yell at her father until he changed his mind. “Sir Cade isn’t here, Miss Katja. He knew you would put up a fight and left before you woke. I have to dress you or he’ll take it out on my hide.” Katja hung her head, and looked at the mess of blankets where Felix had slept last night.
