This was a dream of a book and a dream of a story and was just what I was looking for to read over the weekend although I must admit I couldn’t put it down and read it non-stop!Theresa McMaster has two broken marriages behind her but is struggling to deal with her ex-husbands. Her first husband, who is the father of their adopted daughter, left her when she was at her lowest and the other, Gary, turns out to be a psychopath. After things escalate with Gary, Theresa agrees to seek help from a private security firm and specifically Nathaniel Sutherland. Nathaniel is gorgeous and Theresa soon realises that she is developing feelings for him. Nathaniel has his own tragic background and is determined to help Theresa to get Gary out of her life once and for all. This story has everything, romance, suspense, heartbreak, frustration but overall it is simply amazing. I love CM Stunich’s writing and this story was another treat from her. I really haven’t found a book she has written that has not swept me away. This is another book that I will definitely read again despite knowing how it ends!!! I enjoyed this first work of CM Stunich they I've read. Wished the ending had a little more details... Maybe a hospital scene or ambulance scene. Or one with Cedric after the incedence... Had a good background story, too. Intimate scenes were not steamy. The way her teenage daughter Rhea would cuss and talk to her mom did make me cringe. I'm not a fan of disrespect in children, but it did not take away of the awesomeness they was Nathaniel!!!
What do You think about Broken Pasts (2013)?
Definitely not one of C.M Stunich' s better works. I just finished and I already forgot the plot :/
