Loved this book. I picked up four new slang words. Not that I would ever utter them. What sounds funny out of a 23 yo comes off as desperate for an older gal. However, I enjoyed reliving my youth while reading. Noone can quite nail female friendship like Nora Roberts, however this author does a great dynamic and does hip cutting edge funny uniquely her own style. (um hmm style. reading love and chaos next....) This was a fun book--I especially liked the whole foodtruck adventure and the references to various places in Brooklyn and Manhattan.If Gemma Burgess reads these reviews at all, I hope she'll work on the language that the characters use, because some of that was cringe-inducing. I especially hated "ladybitches" and Pia's constant use of "Merde." Every time she said Merde, it made me hate her. Things like this are just too contrived and take away from the story. Overall though, I really liked the story and would read more in the series.
As a 22 year old who could possibly end up in New York one day soon, this was a very relatable book!
