This is an incredibly lucid and succinct review of the last two decades of neuroscience. Amazingly it manages to do this in the context of Zen Buddhism and for the most part manages to sidestep any spiritual/religious language in order to stay focused on just the neurological facts (ie never stepping outside the bounds of science). It's an amazingly rational retelling of Buddhism in context of accepted neuroscience. I loved it! There are some good things in here. My concern, especially as an audio, is that the author likes to use acronyms a lot. Normally that doesn't bother me, but in the audio you get it once at the beginning of the chapter and I started focusing so much on trying to memorize the acronyms that I missed a lot of the chapter would rewind and then get annoyed with it. It's ok. There are others I was assigned I prefer.
Curious. Have had to read it a few times to feel like concepts are clear. Interesting Book
