Callie's Story (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

Starts out sad, gets a little better, some happy part, another sad part...you get the point. So at 16 Callie answers the doorbell to have the officer inform her of her parents accident. Everything changes, her sister takes custody of her, they are forced to move to a cheap place and Callie is just numb until she meets Kyle. The whole "book" reads like a scrapbook of moments from Callies life. Her parents death, meeting Kyle, going to college, kyle going into the army, getting engaged, and more. You get to experience these clips of her life that span a couple years. I teared up at a couple spots, and smiled/grinned at some too. There is a couple sex scenes but it doesn't get descripted until Callie is older, around 23 or 24 I believe. Could be wrong time passes in this bok suddenly and rapidly. Still great read for the price and I lok forward to finding out what happens next.(This is my post from amazon.com. A review from a freeread) This was my first read of Jean Joachim and I was hooked right at the beginning. It's a quick quick read if you are interested in something fast to pass the time. Starts off with Callie losing her parents at the age of 16 and quickly having a love story with the guy she grew up with Kyle. Rooting for Callie and hoping for a happy ending, he enlists into the Armed forces and has to leave for a few months but they get engaged before he leaves. They do a have few love scenes without to much graphic, simple and easy. Next thing you know she is planning the wedding, getting an apartment and Callie is 24 yrs old.The day of the wedding........OMG, a fully dressed military soldier shows up and informs Callie.......gonna have to read to find out ~
