I read the book The Candy Smash with 209 pages. This book is written by Jacqueline Davies. The book is realistic fiction. This book is about a brother and sister, the sister is two years younger but in the same grade as him. Jessie is the sister of Evan. Evan loves poetry but doesn't want anyone to know, Jessie hates poetry. Jessie wants to write a newspaper for 4-O her class room. Jessie can't find a front page story of the middle story. Evan writes a poem about a girl he likes in 4-O, he hides it in the bottom of his desk. Jessie does a love survey for the cover of her newspaper, but still can't find the middle story. Jessie was searching in Evans room when she found the poem that Evan wrote and put that in her newspaper. Evan had no clue that she took it. when Evan found out he was mad at her. Evan does really good poetry. Id recomend this book for people who like the Lemonade War Series. This is a 8 point red-dot book. Jessie and Evan are back again in this Lemonade War Series Book. Jessie is a year younger than even, but is so smart she got to skip a grade and is in the same class as Evan. In this book, Jessie is investigating a Valentine's Day mystery. Every student in her class keeps getting boxes of candy hearts with personalized messages. She does a lot of investigating, and passes out surveys in order to try and figure out this mystery. She also learns a lot about privacy and what is morally right and wrong to do.
What do You think about Candy Smash (2013)?
I liked how in this book, little details from the other books helped you figure out the mystery.
