Carmen's New York Romance Trilogy (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
3.5 very kinky stars for me, I love this author but this series was my least favourite out of all her books, but that's about me and my comfort level and not her writing. It was to much with the kinky, overly long an very descriptive, nothing was left to the imagination, sometimes I hoped that the next chapter would be Carmen and Kurt go bowling or go to the zoo!, just for a bit of light relief, the story itself was intriguing but seemed like an aside to the sex. Carmen's recounts of her early life and when she was enslaved was very hard for me to read and a few times I had to stop, but I know it was a vital part to the story so I persevered. this was mainly due to Kurt (Thor of thundering orgasms)! and his unbelievable love for Carmen, his care for her and his ultimate goal to make her feel safe and happy was beautiful to read. I never understood Carmen, I couldn't wrap my head around her and how she thought about her life and past but I have nothing but admiration for her and her willingness to trust again. Carmen and Kurt were complete soul mates, they found each other unexpectedly and found something beautiful together. Just with loads of kinky thrown in! 4.75 starsUmm where to start! First off it was hott. Carman and Kurt makes a wonderful couple they complement each other so well. A wonderful start, great humor and overall everything fell into the story nicely. And of course Andre makes another apperance... Gotta love that sexy French Uber Dom.Carman has a backstory that may be a little difficult or dark for some but after meeting Kurt I can tell you that they do get their happy ending, but getting there is work. Carman has issues to deal with due to those 4 months with Ellis but lucky for her she has Kurt with a little help from Andre to help her. Kurt also has plenty of bad publicity and media coverage due to his ex that paints him in a bad light so niether person is perfect. But that just makes them real, and they are so good togther those low points bring them closer as a couple.They do fall for each other fast but hey it's fiction. The story flows well with a great combo of humor, drama, sex and of course that added kink.Great story. Glad I bought the whole set I woulda gone mad if I had to stop and find or wait for the next part. I loved it as a whole and couldn't put it down. I even fell asleep reading it because i just had to know what happened next but my body demanded sleep and won.
