Probably between 3.5 and 4, but I'm rounding up because it was a really fun read. As a NC native and avid coastal beach person, I was thrilled at how well this author did NC and the beach town. It was perfect. The atmosphere and all the little details. It was exactly how it is. Even down to nosiness and such. I love too how this was a family and a romance book. It was even balanced. I enjoyed the romance a lot and getting the family mixed in too. I'm intrigued that the next book is the sister since her introduction here was exactly the best, but excited to read it. Love love love this series. Recently found this author and I have fallen in live with her books. I am reading. Everything I can find. This book has wonderful characters that you will laugh and cry with and hate to see go away at the end of the book. I love it when an author lets us see into their lives after their story end and Virginia does a wonderful job with this whole Carolina series. This is a great read.
