The Wolf of Wall Street Part 2 picks up right where the first left off. It tells the tale of what happens after Jordan Belfort gets out of prison. Initially, he is forced to choose whether he wants to cooperate with the trial and plead guilty. or plead innocent and fight the case. He chooses to cooperate, atleast technically, but his harsh personality often shines during his telling of what truly happened during his run of fame. One of the things I particularly enjoyed about this book was how honest the story telling was. Keep in mind that the author of the book is the person who actually experienced this, so him being able to tell the world through this book all of the things he did is pretty impressive. The honesty also allows the reader to gain access to another layer of the story that you wouldn't have if the author had hidden some of the more gruesome details.The last thing I really liked about this book was the story it told. The story is extremely unique in itself because it shows the other side of wall street and gives an inside look on a pretty private industry. I was stuck between 2 and 3 stars. I liked how he went back and showed more of his personal life and that it picks up where the first book left off. I didn't care for all the PG-13 scenes he described (he sounded like a perv), and I didn't care much for the language. I also didn't care to hear about how much money he had and how much everything he owned cost. I didn't think that pertained to the story. Nor did the fact that he paid people to do his chores in prison and played tennis the whole time. Other than that it was an OK story, nothing to brag about.
