Love Walt, and love these little side-trips. Did NOT love that Amazon wanted $3.79 for 82 pages (most of which were the first chapter of Cold Dish/Longmire #1).A handful of short stories showing the more human side of Walt - specifically in relation to Christmas and his grieving for his wife. Just Walt, Dog, and Cady in these (and a handful of incidental characters of course). Short but deep. This is a collection of 4 short stories, which I appreciated a lot more than the other "mini-book" which only had about 40 pages it it. Anyways, it was good.... not great in My opinion. An interesting Idea having a collection of Christmas type stories in the Walt Longmire Universe. I was very happy that they were not sappy at all, and had the depth that I come to expect from this writer.3.5 Starts might be a bit more of a fair rating, but again Short stories just don't seem to be my kind of thing.
