I really enjoyed the characters in this book! It was "supergreat!" Growing up most of my life with my dad after my mother died, I could identify with Sarah. I am also a twin, a secret keeper, and a word nerd, so that made her even more special to me. I highly recommend this book for middle schoolers. Anything Karen Harrington writes will keep you turning the pages and grabbing Kleenexes until you finish. Her character development is probably the best I've seen in a middle grade novel in years. Beautiful, well-written book! genre: realistic fictionage recommended: 13+ (while I think this book would be fine for some mature 11 & 12 year olds I don't think I would feel comfortable putting this in the Children's Room...it's definitely a teen read)themes: alcoholism, grief, mental illness, puberty, coming of age, death, literature, parentsnotes: opinions: too much "I am a woman now" for me as an adult reader but I think that tween/teen girls would readily identify with Sarah...except for the whole my mom tried to murder me and my twin brother thing
What do You think about Claros Sinais De Loucura (2014)?
What a beautiful read. I will never forget this book.
