First, I don't think my kids are the worst offenders by far. However, I see areas where they can improve. I love this author's idea that by doing too much for our kids, we are depriving them of opportunities to gain confidence in all that they are capable of doing. She has 5 kids of various ages and tackled 1 area each month. I enjoyed her anecdotes of her kids' reactions and in turn how she dealt with it. She intersperses Scripture to back up some of her points and includes stories from friends as well. Loved this book. I really thought that most of it was kind of common sense, but as I kept reading I was really impressed and inspired with the author's ideas. I have to agree with the author's perspective we are selling our children short by not making them take more responsibility for themselves. I really think this is the secret to strong confident children. Great book definitely a reread which is saying something since I don't reread very often.
I didn't make it past page two. It was recommended by a friend, but I won't be finishing it.

I like the idea of focusing on one family goal per month.
